The Storey Family Scholarship Fund was established in 2004, and for twenty one years has been providing monetary support to a Greely High School graduate from Cumberland who has been accepted for full time admission to college, university, or trade school. Recipients of the scholarship fund may not be descendents or relatives of the Storey Family, and must have been in the Cumberland school system for grade levels 6-12. Full applications are reviewed anonymously by the Board of Directors and any family member who chooses to vote on each year's recipients.

Past recipients have attended colleges/universities, graduate programs, and trade schools. As times continually change and progress, so has the need for financial assistance for higher education. As of 2026, the Storey Family Scholarship will be increasing our scholarship amount, from $2,000 to $3,000 per recipient. In addition, the Storey Family Scholarship Fund has created an additional scholarship specifically for individuals enrolling in trades school, or non-traditional secondary education routes. This $1,500 scholarship will be awarded to a Greely graduate who has been accepted at a community college, trade school, or other non-traditional training program (apprenticeships; journeyman programs; etc.).
